Here for sale we have a Tom Anderson Guitarworks Short Drop Top electric guitar in Trans Black with Binding finish. Made to order in the USA in 2011, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body with Flame Maple top, Hard Rock Maple and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including a 2-Point Vintage Tremolo and Tom Anderson sealed locking tuning machines. A trio of Tom Anderson P-90 pickups are installed, with a PQ1- in the neck, PQ1-R in the middle and a PQ2 in the bridge. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and master tone with a push/pull function which adds the bridge pickup in positions 3, 4 & 5.
The Hard Rock Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with the '60s Vibe profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. Certainly, the profile is something that will seem familiar to those used to Fender necks, feeling somewhat similar to a 'C' shape. The Maple fingerboard offers a smooth and durable playing surface, and with its 12"-14" is tailored to the needs of the musician in all registers; comfortable for chord playing in the lower frets and transitioning smoothly to a lead-friendly flatter surface as you climb the fretboard. The generous cutaways and sculpted neck heel enhance access to the upper register, meaning you can really make use of all 22 Low-Rise frets.
The trio of Tom Anderson P-90 pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones that retain plenty of clarity and articulation for crystal clear sounds with any amp setting. The PQ1- in the neck position offers a very open and clear tone, equally well suited to shimmering clean sounds and powerful lead tones. The PQ1-R in the middle position is reverse wound to take care of any phase issues that may arise, and delivers a punchy midrange which is perfect for funky tones. The PQ2 in the bridge is of course brighter, and with a higher output is perfect for searing rhythm sounds that will easily cut through the mix. The 5-way blade switch and add bridge push/pull function provide plenty of opportunity for tone-shaping whilst remaining simple enough not to intrude on the playing experience.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the headstock.
Neck: Overall very good condition. A very light marking to the bass side edge of the fretboard can be seen at the 5th fret. it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck or fingerboard.
Body: Overall excellent condition. Two small indentations to the front face near the lower edge of the treble side horn are visible under direct light, but are not felt under the fingers. The treble side of the waist shows light scratching when viewed under direct light, consistent with light playwear.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
