Here for sale we have a Squier Standard Stratocaster in Cherry Sunburst finish. Made in China in 2003, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, Maple neck and 21 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo and a set of sealed tuning machines. A trio of Squier Stratocaster single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and middle tone controls.
The Satin Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 9.5" radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience whilst retaining practicality for lead lines and string bending, further enhanced by the Medium frets. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body along with generous body contours are as comfortable and familiar as ever, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze.
The trio of Squier Stratocaster single-coils installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to all surfaces of the headstock, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the front face treble side. Denting is present across the rear face, top side edge and onto the treble side edge of the headstock. This is most noticeable where the rear face joins the treble side edge.
Neck: Overall good condition. Light scratching and denting is present to the fingerboard and rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. More noticeable scratching is present to the rear of the neck, most noticeable to the lower register, on both the treble and bass sides. This can be lightly felt under the finger in the playing position.
Body: Overall good condition. Light scratching and denting is present to the front face, rear face and lower bout side edge. This is most noticeable to the bass side of the lower bout front face. A small chip to the finish is present on the treble side edge of the waist. Light cracking to the finish is present to both sides of the neck pocket. This does not flex under pressure and therefore causes no structural concern.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
