Here for sale we have a PRS SE Custom 24 in Purple Burst finish. Made in Korea in 2012, a set-neck construction is employed and comprises a Mahogany body with Bevelled Maple top and Flame Maple veneer, Maple neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with Nickel hardware including a 6-Point Tremolo bridge and PRS sealed tuning machines. A pair of PRS Designed humbucking pickups are installed, with an SE Vintage Bass in the neck and an SE HFS in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls, with a push/pull coil split function.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the Wide Thin profile feeling nicely slim in the hand and allowing for easy reach in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear ensures that navigation of the 25" scale is a smooth and breezy affair, whilst the double cutaways with signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhance access to the upper frets. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 10" radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending.
The pair of PRS Designed humbuckers installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to a wide range of genres. The neck position is round and powerful, offering crystal clear clean tones whilst handling gain very nicely - perfect for those solos and lead lines. The bridge pickup is brighter and hotter, saturating into a searing distortion tone for rock rhythm parts. The controls feel nicely responsive and allow you to dial in your perfect tone right on the guitar. The addition of the push/pull coil split allows you to achieve a more single-coil style tone, making this a very versatile instrument.

This guitar demonstrates moderate fret noise in the upper register of the bass strings which is only mildly apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
