Here for sale we have a Grover Jackson Roswell Rhoads RWR-85 electric guitar in Silver finish. Made in Japan between 1996 and the early 2000’s, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Poplar body, Maple neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Ebony fingerboard adorned with actual crop circle designs. This guitar is fitted with Brushed Nickel hardware including Wilkinson VS-100 tremolo system and Gotoh Magnum Locking tuning machines carrying on the futuristic theme of this instrument. The aftermarket EMG H2 humbucker pickup installed in this guitar provides interstellar tones, this is wired to a single master volume control.

The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile closely resembling a 'Speed Neck' profile, sitting comfortably in the hand and offering a razor sharp and precise playing experience in all registers. The neck is certainly slim, and features a flattened area to the centre that provides ergonomic thumb positioning for those fast lead lines and solos. This is enhanced by the ultra smooth Ebony fingerboard, which with its 15" radius delivers a tailored playing experience in any position. Chord playing is comfortable in the lower register, whilst the flatter radius in the higher register is well suited to lead playing and string bending. The Medium Jumbo frets provide a rock solid playing surface, whilst also improving vibrato and string bending feel. The unique body shape sits balanced when in standing position, allowing this guitar to be shown off, providing an instrument that is truly out of this world.

The single EMG H2 humbucker installed in this guitar produces a thick and full-bodied tone, perfect for more distortion-heavy styles of music. When turning the volume control down to 5-6, a nice rounded tone is present, with an articulate and detailed bass response, driving mids and shimmering high frequencies that cut through the mix very effectively,  perfect for rhythm tonalities. When the volume control is on full the pickup produces a clear, bright response, allowing the full tonality of the EMG 2 to shine, providing its full, higher output voicing, this saturates into a searing distortion when cranking the gain. The single master volume offers comprehensive control of your tone without being intrusive, meaning you can focus on your playing, allowing the player to sculpt their tone with ease. If you want a unique guitar with the capabilities of producing tones that can travel the solar system then look no further.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

Neck: Overall very good condition, the finish at the join between fingerboard and neck has cracked in the early register. This does not present structural concern and is purely cosmetic. There is a moderate indentation to the bass side of the rear in the very upper register not felt under the thumb in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates light markings that are difficult to discern against the grain.

Body: Overall very good condition, some finish has chipped from the neck pocket. This is only cosmetic and does not present structural concern. Light indentations are apparent beneath the bridge and to the treble side below the volume control. Both "points" of the body demonstrate indentation and chipping to the finish. Further light indentation is apparent to the bottom edges, chipping the finish in places.
