Here for sale we have a Dowina Cocobolo Trio Plate (Cocobolo III) Dreadnought Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Satin Natural Open-Pore finish. Hand made in the shadow of the ancient ruins of Devin Castle in Slovakia, this exceptional guitar is constructed using the finest personally selected materials. The luthiers at Dowina lovingly hand craft these materials with the utmost care and respect to produce an instrument that is not only aesthetically beautiful but one that has the most natural and divine sound. This guitar features an all-solid construction comprising a 3-piece Nicaraguan Cocobolo back and Cocobolo sides, Solid Spruce top, Mahogany and Wenge neck and hand selected Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. An L.R. Baggs Anthem preamp and dual pickup system is installed, with discreet soundhole-mounted master volume, blend and phase controls.
 
The Mahogany neck plays exceptionally well, with what might be described as a soft 'V' profile that sits very comfortably in the hand. The open-pore finish to the rear of the neck provides a very pleasant and tactile surface for the thumb to rest on, whilst also ensuring that transitions up and down the register are a smooth and effortless affair. The hand-selected Ebony fingerboard provides a smooth and luxurious playing surface, and with it's 16" radius feels nicely flat and consistent right the way up the neck. The smooth lines of the dreadnought body are comfortable in the arms, offering a supremely comfortable playing experience in both standing and seated positions. 
 
The voice of the Dowina Cocobolo III is exceptionally beautiful. The rich and detailed low end is warm without being too soft. Mids are smooth and help to balance the overall tone of the instrument, whilst the bright and glistening top end adds a shimmer and brilliance to every note played. The Solid Spruce top projects very well, providing a wide dynamic range that feels sensitive to the player's touch. The L.R. Baggs Anthem preamp and dual pickup system conveys the voice of the instrument incredibly faithfully, with both undersaddle piezo and condenser microphone that can be blended in any combination using the onboard controls. The phase switch included also ensures that feedback can be kept to a minimum, meaning that this guitar is equipped for both live and studio use. This is a lavishly appointed and lovingly crafted instrument that will bring its new owner countless hours of pleasure.

Headstock: Overall very good condition, a light chip is present to the binding at the treble side corner of the front face. All other aspects of the headstock display minimal signs of use.

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.
