Here for sale we have a Yamaha SA2200 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Violin Burst finish. Made in Japan in 2009, this guitar consists of a Laminated Sycamore body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include a Gotoh GE103B Bridge, a Gotoh GE101Z Tailpiece, Gotoh SG30 Tuning Machines, and a set of Yamaha Alnico V Humbuckers. These pickups are wired to two independent volume controls, two tone controls with push/pull coil tapping, and a three-way pickup selector.
The gloss finish neck plays well, offering a smooth and fluid playing surface, with a very slight flattening to the centre that gives ergonomic thumb positioning. This is a great shape for those with slightly bigger hands and is certainly a guitar for those looking for a traditional feeling instrument. The dual cutaway body shape of the SA2200 provides uninhibited access to the upper frets, whilst the edges of the body ensure that it sits snugly in the arms for a comfortable playing experience.
Amplified, the pair of Yamaha Alnico V humbucking pickups deliver thick and full-bodied tones which work well in a wide variety of musical contexts. There is plenty of grunt available for crunch and overdrive sounds, perfect for rock and blues players. The neck position produces a round and smooth tone, which can even be made dark and jazzy by rolling back the tone control. The semi-hollow construction ensures a lively and responsive feel whilst improving the dynamic range and response of the instrument whilst the Push/Pull feature adds even more range, offering single-coil twang.. A typically well made and great sounding guitar from Yamaha.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. A light marking is present tot the top edge rear face. All other aspects of the headstock display light signs of past use.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.
Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light signs of past use.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Very light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) included.
Hardware: Overall excellent condition. Light tarnishing is present to the metal hardware, this is most apparent to the bridge. Light scratching is present to the pick guard, this can be seen under direct light.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
