Here for sale we have a Yamaha Pacifica PAC604W Electric Guitar in Cherry Sunburst finish. Made in Taiwan in 2002, this instrument features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Wilkinson VS100 tremolo bridge and Staggered Sperzel Trim-Lok locking tuners. The Yamaha pickups are installed in an HSS configuration, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch with master volume and tone control (push/push coil-split).
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile that might be described as a 'C' shape allowing for easy fretting in any register and providing ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Satin finish to the rear is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale, with generous cutaways enhancing access to the upper register. The Rosewood fingerboard feels smooth and durable under the fingers, and with its 13.75” radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques.
The pickups in this guitar offer a great versatile sound, they produce a mixture of sparkly tones with a hint of a darker undertones, whilst retaining clarity with each note. The Yamaha humbucker in the bridge provides a full driving mid range with the best natural harmonic overtones, and a top end that produces a crunchy edge. The Yamaha single-coil in the middle position produces a smooth single coil sound with more output and more mids, providing bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck position provides a warm, rounded sound, offering a smooth tone that handles distorted tones as well as it handles clean tones.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light scuffing is apparent to very tip edge, resulting in a whitening of the finish. Any other markings to the headstock are difficult to discern.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. Any markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. Any other markings to the body are difficult to discern.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. The back plate is missing a screw.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is not apparent when amplified - most notably on the low E string. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
