Here for sale we have a Yamaha APX-SPLI Electro Acoustic Guitar in Transparent Amber from 1992. Made in Taiwan, this guitar features a 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard and an Undersaddle Piezo pickup wired to a master volume, treble, and bass control. Due to limited sources of information, some specifications cannot be verified, therefore have been left out. 
 
This guitar requires a neck reset to be able to function properly. The guitar has also suffered from some damage to the finish. We have priced this guitar based upon the second hand value of a fully functional example, minus the cost of repair and how much the guitar will be worth once any repairs are completed.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: All aspects of the headstock are in excellent condition.

    Neck: Overall in very good condition, with a light dent to the back of the neck, behind fret 1.

    Body: Due to exposure to heat, the finish to the face has slightly deformed causing some texture, visible under direct light. The front face and sound hole present notable warping, which causes a raised action.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod Condition: Due to a one way truss rod and the neck having a slight back bow, the action can't be changed without lowering the bridge height, which could result in notes fretting out in the mid range of the neck. With the current set up, the strings fret out around the 20th fret. This guitar would need a neck reset to be able to function properly again.
