Here for sale we have a Yamaha AC3M Electro Acoustic Guitar in Natural Gloss finish. Made in China, this guitar consists of a Solid Sitka Spruce top with A.R.E treatment, Mahogany back and sides, a 3-ply African Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Wilkinson Chrome tuners, a new scalloped bracing pattern for the A-series, a SRT Piezo and preamp system. The controls for the preamp are volume, a 3-band EQ, tuner, blend and resonance.
The 3-ply African Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a 'C' shape. This offers a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register and encourages ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the register. The Ebony of the fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with its 14” radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The generous cutaway enhances access to the upper frets, really opening up the full range of the instrument.
The acoustic voice of the Yamaha AC3M is rich and beautiful, and is very well balanced thanks to its concert-size body. This smaller stature helps it to avoid the 'boominess' often associated with larger bodies such as the dreadnought, bringing the less powerful high frequencies into focus. The on-board pickup and preamp system faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument, adding the versatility required for live and recording situations.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The dges of the headstock display light scuff marks and signs of general wear, particularly to the top edge. All other surfaces demonstrate light scratching.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates a number of very light indentations, the only one of which that can be felt underhand is behind the 9th fret. The neck heel demonstrates several small scratches and scuff marks.
Body: Overall very good conditoin. The front face is in excellent condition with only light scartching visible under close scrutiny. The rear face face demonstrats more moderate signs of wear, with scartching and a fading to the finish in several areas. This is most prominent to the lower bout on the bass side and in the centre on the treble side. The scratches are consistent with the guitar having been played by someone wearing a jacket with a zip. The bass side edge of the lower bout displays a small indentation which breaks the finish.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of wear with a very mild flattening of the crown, not affecting playability. There is material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
