Warwick RB Star Bass 5 Creme White 2013 Semi-Hollow Electric Bass
Here for sale we have a Warwick RB Star Bass 5 Semi-Hollow Electric Bass in Creme White finish. Made in China in 2013, this bass consists of a semi-hollow Maple body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Wenge fingerboard. Other appointments include Warwick machine heads, Chrome hardware, a Warwick bridge and tailpiece, and two Passive MEC Vintage Single Coil pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.
 
The Maple neck plays superbly well, with the Warwick neck profile feeling somewhat like a 'D' shape. The profile is fairly substantial, but with the slightly flattened area to the centre rear encouraging ergonomic thumb positioning, it's easy to reach notes across the register. Paired with generous double-cutaway body design and set-neck construction, the full range of the instrument is easily accessible. The Wenge of the fingerboard provides a tactile yet durable playing surface.  
 
The Warwick sound is well known for its deep growl, and the tonewood selection helping to secure a reputation amongst players for a versatile yet distinct tone that will stand out from the crowd. There are of course plenty of deep, rumbling lows which will fill out the band mix, whilst the punchy mids and sparkling top end help to create a driving sound and sense of urgency by capturing the attack of your playing, whilst maintaining a vintage vibe that is sure to inspire the player. The on-board controls offer comprehensive tonal opportunities whilst maintaining a simple and non-intrusive character on the playing experience.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Light finish imperfection can be seen to the front face top edge, this is from the factory. Light to mild scratching is present to the front face, the most apparent of these can be seen around the E tuning machine.

    Neck: Overall very good condition. Moderate scratching and marking is present to the rear of the neck heel, the most apparent of these has exposed the wood beneath. A light scratching is present to the 3rd fret of the fingerboard, this can not be felt in the playing position.  

    Body: Overall very good condition. Mild scratching is present to the the center of the rear face, these have exposed the wood beneath consistent with past use. Light discoloration is present to the bass side lower bout edge, this can be seen under close scrutiny. A light indentation is present to the treble side lower bout edge, this has lightly discolored the finish.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability.  There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.

    Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display light scratching and tarnishing of the finish, this is most apparent to the pickup covers. The A tuning machine has been replaced with an official Warwick tuning machine.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
