Here for sale we have a Walden D552 12-String Acoustic Guitar in Satin Natural. Made in China this 12 string guitar features a set-neck construction consisting of a Dreadnaught shape body with Mahogany neck and sides and Spruce Top, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include sealed tuning machines and tortoise shell pickguard.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the profile feeling very flat and easy to handle. This allows for easy reach in all registers and comfort for tricky chord voicings. With a nut width of 1.81, there is ample string spacing without the neck becoming too wide or unwieldy. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the neck.
The acoustic voice of the Walden D552 is powerful & bright, meaning it can easily cut through a dense mix. The Solid Sitka Spruce top projects beautifully, delivering a wide & sensitive dynamic range which feels nicely responsive. The Mahogany of the back and sides adds a richness which beautifully compliments the extra top-end sounds we associate with a 12 string instrument.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Any markings to the headstock are difficult to discern.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. Any markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall very good condition. A very small finish imperfection is apparent to the centre of the front face lower bout. The front and rear face binding demonstrates some light indentations, most notably to the front face treble side shoulder and bass side lower bout. The rear face demonstrates mild scratching to the upper bout at the centre line. Any other marking to the body are difficult to discern.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Truss rod is stiff to operate and near the end of its travel. The relief in the neck is correct for its current setup.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Mild tarnishing is apparent to the tuners, with light scratching to the pickguard. Both the pickguard and rear of the tuners have the protective plastic in tact. There is considerable material remaining in the saddle.
Structural: Maxed Truss Rod. No other concerns or issues to note. A slight gap can be seen where the neck heel meets the body. This does not affect playability.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
