Here for sale we have a Taylor T5-S Standard Hybrid Electro Acoustic Guitar in Black finish. Designed by Taylor to be a hybrid between an electric and an acoustic guitar, this guitar uses a combination of body sensor pickups, a single coil pickup, and a hidden neck humbucker to deliver a wealth of tones in a hollow-body thinline package.
 
Made in the USA in 2005, this guitar consists of a Sitka Spruce top, a Sapele body, a Sapele neck, and a 21-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Taylor Chrome-plated Hardware, T5 Custom Bracing, an Ebony Bridge, a Bone nut and saddle, and Taylor T5 Electronics. These electronics are controlled via a 5-way pickup selector, and controls for volume, treble, and bass. 
 
The ‘Shallow’ ‘C’ neck sits comfortably in the hand, with low action that makes lead lines and chordal playing a breeze. The Medium Jumbo frets and 12" radius provide a robust and smooth playing experience all across the fingerboard, and enhance string bending and vibrato techniques. The single cutaway body design allows the player to access the higher register with ease, allowing for fast lead lines without any obstruction.
 
Unplugged, the guitar plays at a nice volume that isn’t too quiet and, thanks to the thinline nature of the instrument, still has plenty of resonance and breathiness. The T5-S is fitted with next-generation electronics with a 5-way pickup switch located on the side of the guitar to easily swap between your different sounds. The Taylor “lipstick” single-coil pickups can provide tele-like sounds all the way through to the Gretsch-like humbucker beef in the hidden neck humbucking pickup. The T5-S Body sensors are overwound to produce the dazzling highs that you would expect from an acoustic guitar preamp, making for a really authentic acoustic tone.
