Here for sale we have a Taylor Academy 22e Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Satin Natural finish. Made in Mexico in 2024, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Solid Walnut top, Layered Walnut back and sides, Maple neck and 20 fret West African Crelicam Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. A set of Chrome sealed tuning machines are fitted, with a Nubone nut and Micarta saddle. An undersaddle piezo pickup is fitted, and is wired to Taylor's ES-B preamp, which features discreet shoulder-mounted controls for master volume and tone, as well as an on-board tuner.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Taylor's signature neck profile feeling particularly comfortable in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The profile could be described as a thin 'C' shape, which is often favoured by fingerstyle players. The Satin finish to the rear is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 24.875" scale. The contoured edge of the lower bout enhances comfort for the strumming hand, and means that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze.
The voice of the Taylor Academy 12e is nicely balanced thanks to the compact Grand Concert body shape. The smaller body reduces the 'boominess' of the bass response, whilst the Solid Walnut top adds plenty of brightness and articulation, meaning that both strumming and fingerstyle playing sound fantastic on this guitar. The addition of the undersaddle and ES-B preamp provide the versatility required for live and recording situations, with the convenience of an on board tuner too.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. The front face top edge demonstrates a very small indentation above the Taylor logo, which has not pierced the finish to reveal the wood beneath. Any other markings to the headstock are difficult to discern.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard demonstrates light indentations in the early register that cannot be felt beneath the strings and do not affect the instruments feel or playability. Any markings to the rear of the neck are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall excellent condition. The body demonstrates light scratching to the bass side of the sound hole, consistent with playwear. These are only visible under direct light at certain angles. Any other markings to the body are difficult to discern.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate minimal signs of wear, with substantial material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4") not included.
Hardware: Overall good condition. All aspects of the hardware demonstrate notable signs of previous use. Scratching is apparent to the pickguard, consistent with playwear. The bridge demonstrates some indentation surrounding the bridge pins.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
