Here for sale we have a Taylor 416ce Grand Symphony electro-acoustic guitar. Made in the USA in 2011 this guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of a Solid Ovangkol back and sides with Solid Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Taylor sealed and Ebony bridge. A Taylor Expression system is fitted
and wired to volume, treble and bass controls on the bass side shoulder.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile that could be described as a Soft 'V' profile that provides ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The cutaway allows for easy access to the higher frets and a low action allows for playing with less pressure which is great when playing in a fingerpicking style. The Ebony fingerboard feels luxurious to the touch, and with Taylor's usual 15" radius providing a flat and consistent surface to navigate on.
The acoustic voice of the Taylor 416ce is bright and clear, with an unpronounced yet accurate low end, strong mid response and sparkling trebles which add a shimmer and chime to every note played on the instrument. The Grand Symphony body design delivers the best of both large and compact bodies; sizable enough to produce a powerful and clear voice whilst remaining small enough to be comfortable in the arms. The solid Sitka Spruce top projects beautifully and offers a wide dynamic range, whilst producing a warm & more refined tone. Taylor's Expression System faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument, providing the versatility required for both live and recording situations.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the top edge and towards the top edge of the rear face, these display light delamination but do not expose the finish.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the early register rear of the neck, these can be slightly felt in the playing position. Light delamination is present to the heel of the neck, this has not exposed the wood beneath. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has lightly polished to a Gloss finish, this is common with past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the front face, the most apparent of these can be seen to the bass side of the sound hole and to the treble side lower bout, these have very lightly pierced the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath. Light to mild delamination is present to the edge of the body, the most apparent of these can be seen to the lower bout edge surrounding the battery compartment. There is a small patch of scratching to the rear.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4" socket) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the hard ware display light signs of past use. One of the latches on the case has been damaged and does not close properly.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note. The bridge displays slight lifting, this is of no concerns and is within Taylor's tolerances for bridge lift.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2.75mm
