Here for sale we have a Taylor 416ce Grand Symphony Electro Acoustic Guitar in Natural Gloss finish. Made in the USA in 2011, this guitar consists of a solid Sitka Spruce top, solid Ovangkol back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Chrome Enclosed Taylor tuners, an Ebony bridge, a TUSQ nut and saddle, Pearl Dot inlays, and a Taylor ES1 Expression System. This system has controls for volume, bass, and treble.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Soft 'V' profile that provides ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The cutaway allows for easy access to the higher frets and a low action allows for playing with less pressure which is great when playing in a fingerpicking style. The Ebony fingerboard feels luxurious to the touch, and with Taylor's usual 15" radius providing a flat and consistent surface to navigate on.
The acoustic voice of the Taylor 416ce is bright and clear, with an unpronounced yet accurate low end, strong mid response and sparkling trebles which add a shimmer and chime to every note played on the instrument. The Grand Symphony body design delivers the best of both large and compact bodies; sizable enough to produce a powerful and clear voice whilst remaining small enough to be comfortable in the arms. The solid Sitka Spruce top projects beautifully and offers a wide dynamic range, whilst producing a warm & more refined tone. Taylor's Expression System 1 faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument, providing the versatility required for both live and recording situations.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Mild delamination is present to the bass side top tip and around the D tuning machine, these have lightly chipped the lacquer finish.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been lightly polished to a Gloss texture through past use, this is common for Satin finishes.
Body: Overall very good condition. Two mild indentations are present to the lower bout of the front face, these have very lightly pierced the lacquer finish but does not expose the wood beneath. Light scratching is present to the front face, these can only be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the early register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4" socket) not included.
Hardware: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
