Here for sale we have a Taylor 412 acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in the USA in 1998, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising Rosewood back and sides, Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in black with subtle multi-stripe purfling and rosette, along with a tortoiseshell pickguard. Grover tuning machines are fitted. An aftermarket Fishman Ellipse has been fitted which includes a microphone and a pickup, these are wired to the Fishman Ellipse’s soundhole mounted controls that include volume, blend and phase.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with Taylor's neck profile delivering a comfortable and smooth playing experience across the register feeling somewhat similar to a C shape whilst remaining on the slim side for an acoustic guitar. This results in a supremely playable instrument that feels manageable in all registers. The Ebony of the fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with its 16" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The Compact Grand Concert body shape is as comfortable in the arms as ever and allows for a relaxed and accommodating feel.
The acoustic voice of the Taylor 412 is rich and warm, whilst retaining plenty of clarity. The Sitka Spruce top projects beautifully, and provides a wide and sensitive dynamic range whilst the Rosewood back and sides offer a warm and deep low end that make chords hum and chime. Soft playing yields a gentle, intimate tone which would be ideal for fingerstyle players. Strumming harder with the fingers or a pick produces a bright and precise tone which captures all of the sparkle and chime of your playing. The Fishman Ellipse Blend pickup and preamp system allows you to capture the transparent acoustic sound of this instrument by blending the microphone and pickup sound together.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The top edges of the headstock display indentations which have broken through the finish exposing the wood beneath. A mild indentation is present to the bass side edge of the front face, this has pierced through the lacquer finish.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light indentations are present to the rear of the neck most noticeably behind the 5th fret, these can very slightly be felt in the playing position. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has polished to a gloss appearance, this is common with regular use on satin finishes. Wear marks are present to the fingerboard most noticeably to the early register, this is common with regular past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present across the front face, most noticeably to the bass side of the sound hole which is consistent with regular past use and to the treble side lower bout, these have not pierced through the finish and can be seen under direct light.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with indentation in the early register and flattening of the crowns throughout. There is not enough material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4" socket) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the hardware displays light signs of past use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
