Here for sale we have a Taylor 314ce in Gloss Natural finish. Made in the US in 2014 this guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of Sapele back and Sides, Spruce top, Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include an Ebony bridge, Venetian Cutaway and Taylor tuning machines. A Taylor ES 1.3 preamp system is installed and wired to shoulder-mounted Volume, Bass and Treble.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with Taylor's neck profile filling the hand nicely for a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The profile might be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The Ebony of the fingerboard is dark in appearance, and with a nice tight grain adds a sense of luxury to the playing experience. The traditional Taylor 15" radius is practical for both melodic and chordal playing styles, whilst the smooth lines of the Grand Auditorium body are comfortable in both standing and seated positions.
The acoustic voice of the 314CE is a powerful one while still retaining warmth. The Spruce top projects very well, and provides a wide, sensitive dynamic range. The Sapele back and sides add some depth and character to the sound, whilst the Grand Auditorium body design strikes a perfect balance between open and airy strummed chords and precision for fingerstyle and melodic lines. The Taylor Expression System 1.3 faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument, adding the versatility required for both live and recording situations.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates light indentation piercing the finish to the rear.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates very light indentations throughout the register which are difficult to discern beneath the thumb. The finish to the rear has buffed to a semi-gloss through regular use.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light indentations across the lower bout which are visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Similar indentations are apparent to the sides around the treble side lower bout, however are more apparent due to the satin finish. A small finish crack is present to the bottom edge near the input jack. This has been tested and is not structural.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
