Here for sale we have a Taylor 214 Acoustic Guitar in Natural finish. Made in Mexico in 2010, this guitar consists of a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Layered Indian Rosewood back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Chrome sealed tuners, an Ebony bridge, and Taylor's Standard II bracing.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with Taylor's 'V' neck profile filling the hand for a substantial yet articulate playing experience across the register. The Ebony of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and provides a playing surface which is smooth, durable & luxurious. The smooth lines of the Grand Auditorium body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, ensuring comfort in both standing & seated positions.
The tone of the 214 is rich and clear, with a warm low end, a punchy but not over the top midrange, along with honest and articulate highs. Years of playing has seen this guitar develop a lovely open tone, with expressive dynamics, allowing for a very uncompressed sound. Overall an excellent guitar that has a real workhorse quality, offering broken-in tones without an enormous price tag.
