Here for sale we have a Tanglewood Exotic Java TWJPE Parlour Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Natural Gloss finish. This guitar consists of a solid Cedar top, Amara sides, an Amara/Spalted Mango back, a Nato neck, and an 18-fret Techwood fingerboard. Other appointments include a PPS nut and saddle, nickel-plated hardware, open gear machine heads, and Fishman Presys Electronics. This preamp has controls for volume and tone.
The Nato neck plays exceptionally well, with a profile which might be described as a fairly substantial soft ‘D’ shape which provides a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience across the register while the Techwood of the fretboard is luxurious under the fingers. The small stature of the Parlor body design is supremely comfortable in the arms and provides a sense of intimacy to the playing experience.
The acoustic voice of the Exotic Java TWJPE is supremely well-balanced thanks to its small size. The Cedar top projects beautifully, and whilst not providing as much volume as a larger body instrument like a dreadnought, delivers plenty of dynamic range without any loss of clarity at higher volumes. The Amara/Spalted Mango back & Amara sides add depth and warmth to the sound which balances beautifully with the brightness of the Cedar. This is a distinctive instrument with the unique sound that we expect from a Parlor, in a beautifully made & strikingly attractive package.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, light indentations are apparent along the inner edges of the string cavity, along with a moderate indentation towards the top bass side corner that pierces the finish slightly. All aspects demonstrate very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates several indentations across the lower bout, piercing the finish in places. Consistent light scratching is apparent beside the soundhole, particularly on the treble side. The finish on the front face demonstrates a slight orange peel texture under direct lighting at certain angles, with some discoloration apparent to the bass side shoulder. The front edge demonstrates moderate indentation along the bottom and treble side, piercing the finish. The sides and rear demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear, most notably tarnishing of the tuning buttons.
