Here for sale we have a Tanglewood Earth 1000N Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar in Natural Gloss finish. Made in Korea in 1994, this guitar consists of a Spruce top, a 3-piece Rosewood back and Rosewood sides, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments consist of Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Rosewood bridge, and Faux Tortoise shell pickguard.
The Mahogany neck plays superbly well, with a profile which might be described as a slightly thick 'D' shape. This encourages ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers and provides easy reach as well as smooth and responsive playability. The Rosewood fingerboard feels smooth to the touch, and with the 16" radius provides a playing surface capable of a wide variety of playing styles, whilst fretting is a breezy and sumptuous affair in any register, whilst the body design feels great in both seated and standing positions, perfect for the singer/songwriter type of player.
The voice of the Earth 100N is rich and warm, the Rosewood back and sides provide a silky smooth bass response that remains detailed and accurate across the dynamic range. The mids are punchy and clear, and add a warmth and clarity to the tone. The top end is sparkly and bright, adding a glistening quality to every note played on the instrument. The dynamic range of the Earth 100N is impressive. Gentle playing is rewarded with a very tender and soft tone, ramping smoothly up to the rich, loud chord strumming sound that the Dreadnought is renowned for.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light marking and paint transfer is present to the top edge of the headstock, these can be seen under direct light. Light speckles of delamination can be seen to the center of the rear face, these have not broken through the finish.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild indentations are present to the treble side of the neck heel, these can be felt under the fingers. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been polished to a Gloss texture, this is common with regular past use. Very light lateral scratchings are present across the register to the fingerboard, these can only be seen under direct light at close scrutiny and can not be felt in the playing position.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the front face, the most apparent can be seen to both the bass and treble side shoulders; these have lightly pierced the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching, some of the more prominent of these can be seen around the bridge and scattered across the rear face, these can be seen under direct light.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) is not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. Moderate tarnishing is present to the tuning machines. Mild scratching, indentation and delamination is present to the bridge, this is consistent with the use of tools previously. A previous owner has installed a strap button to the bass side shoulder edge.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2.5mm
