Here for sale we have a Takamie Santa Fe LTD97 acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural. Made in Japan in 1997 in a limited run this guitar features a set-neck construction consisting of a double bound Koa body with Spruce top adorned with Lizard rosette inlay, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard adorned with Maple footprints. Other appointments include Gold Takamine sealed tuning machines and Takamine AccuraAcoustic EQ System.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which can be described as a ‘C’ shape providing ergonomic thumb positioning and easy fretting up and down the neck. The nut width is rather narrow at just 1.67". This ensures easy reach for big stretches & a very manageable feel in all registers. The generous cutaway offers enhanced access to the upper register, really opening up the full range of the instrument.
The acoustic voice of the Takamine LTD97 is warm and rich, with the solid top construction allowing the wood to resonate clearly for a lively and responsive playing experience. The Koa back and sides provide a deep, rich and warm tone with a defined low end, smooth midrange and sparkling highs. The Spruce top contributes to the guitar's excellent projection and sustain whilst producing a shimmering top end. A wide dynamic range is available, feeling highly sensitive to the player's touch.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching throughout, only visible under direct light at certain angles. The top edge demonstrates light scuffing and indentation to the tip. Tarnishing is apparent to the winding post surrounds.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation and scratching, most notably indentation in line with the 2nd and 3rd frets. These can be felt by the thumb on inspection and lightly by the hand in playing position. Scratching to the finish is apparent above the neck heel. Delamination of the finish is apparent to the edges of the neck, where it meets the fingerboard. Light peeling is apparent to the fingerboard position markers. Scratching and discolouration can be seen to the nut. Delamination can be seen around the neck pocket.
Body: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light to mild scratching, most notably scratching to the bass side, between the bridge and soundhole. More concentrated scratching is apparent below the soundhole, where a pickguard would commonly be. Indentation is apparent to the front face at the treble side of the lower bout and treble side cutaway horn. The rear face and sides demonstrate light scratching and indentation, most notably around the lower bout. Darkening of the binding is apparent throughout.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is a small amount of material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Tarnishing is apparent to the saddle. There is a small amount of room left in the saddle.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm

Electrics: Non-functional. The guitar would require a replacement preamp, the price has been adjusted to accommodate the work required.

Takamine Hard Case
Fully functional and good condition. The outer shell has peeling of the cover, any markings to the inner lining are difficult to discern. Notable oxidisation is apparent to the clasps. The handle is missing.
