Here for sale we have a Takamine PT-105 electro-acoustic guitar in Gloss Black finish. Crafted in Japan in 1989, this guitar features a Solid Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and a 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. This guitar is fitted with a set of sealed Takamine tuning machines, along with a Bone saddle and nut. A Takamine Palathetic under saddle pickup is featured with controls for a three band EQ and a Gain control.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a ‘C' shape that encourages ergonomic thumb positioning and offers a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Rosewood fingerboard is comfortable under the fingers and adds a real sense of luxury to the instrument. The 12" fingerboard radius provides a fine balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for fingerpicking and lead lines. The OM body is comfortable in the arms providing comfort in both standing and seated positions.
The acoustic voice of the Takamine PT-105 is delicate and well balanced, being well suited to both chordal and fingerstyle players. The small body size produces an intimate feeling tone that is perfect for recording or live situations, blending in very well with other instruments. The Spruce/Mahogany construction of the body ensures a nice rich overall tone, with an understated yet accurate low end, clear midrange and sparkling highs. The top projects well, providing a wide dynamic range that feels very sensitive. The Takamine Palathetic under saddle pickup system and on-board controls add the versatility required for both live and recording situations.
