Made in Indonesia, this guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Locking tuners, a Vintage-style Tremolo, Chrome hardware, and an upgraded set of EMG 66/57 humbuckers. These pickups have been wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘Contoured V’ profile adjusting the hand for an ergonomic hold, whilst feeling slender and providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Satin finish aids in effortless navigation up and down the neck, with the Rosewood fingerboard offering a pleasant surface under the fingers. The 12” radius and Narrow frets assist with vibrato techniques and assist with faster playing styles, whilst the double cutaway body design provides uninhibited access to the upper register.
Amplified, this guitar has a thick low end grunt and sculpted mid range thanks to its upgraded pair of EMG Humbuckers. The EMG 57 humbucker in the bridge position delivers powerful but balanced rock and metal tones with rich upper-midrange harmonic content. The low strings are tight and the high strings scream with harmonics, making it a go-to pickup for hard-hitting crunch rhythms and blazing lead tones. The EMG 66 humbucker in the neck position offers all the soloing clarity you could wish for, with sweet sustain and a warm, full sound that still possesses a clear attack providing a hot output delivering smooth, fluid solo tones under gain, while still being capable of bell-like clean tones.
