Here for sale we have a Squier Silver Series SST-39 Flamed Electric Guitar in Flame Red Sunburst finish. Made in Japan between 1993-94, this guitar consists of a P.A.F Wood Fiber body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles and die-cast trem block, as well as a set of die-cast sealed tuning machines. A trio of 'ST Single' single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and middle tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘Oval Type’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 7.25" radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience whilst retaining practicality for lead lines and string bending. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body with generous contours are as comfortable and familiar as ever, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze.
The trio of ST 'Single' single-coil pickups installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup is bright and glistening, with plenty of spank and power to make your rhythm parts and riffs sound gritty. With subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone which shimmers beautifully. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, lending itself very well to funky rhythm tones. The neck pickup is rounder, with buttery smooth tones that are equally well suited to chordal phrasings and lead lines. The traditional control layout is as comprehensive and practical as ever, just as we expect from a Stratocaster.
