Here for sale we have a Squier Paranormal Offset Telecaster SH in Black finish. Squier's Paranormal Series are an interesting line of instruments first brought to market in 2020, offering reissues of Fender's lesser known oddities such as the Toronado & Super-Sonic as well as brand new models which cherry pick the best features from different Fender models for a unique look and sound at an affordable price. 
 
This Paranormal Offset Telecaster SH was made in China in 2022, and features a bolt-on construction comprising a Poplar Jazzmaster body, Maple neck and 22 fret Laurel fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Telecaster string-through-body bridge with 3 Chrome saddles, and a set of vintage-style split-post tuning machines. A pair of Fender designed passive pickups are installed, with an Alnico single-coil in the bridge & a Wide Range humbucker. These are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume & master tone controls. 
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'C' Shape profile filling the hand for a substantial but not cumbersome playing experience across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale, whilst the offset body design offers enhanced access to the upper frets. The Laurel of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with it's traditional 9.5" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles & techniques. The Narrow Tall frets improve the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques without betraying the vintage vibe of the instrument. 
 
The pair of Fender Designed pickups installed in this guitar deliver a versatile range of tones, perfect for the contemporary guitarist who needs their instrument to fit the bill in a wide array of musical settings. The Wide Range humbucker in the neck is round and smooth, whilst producing plenty of power for driven lea lines. The bridge is bright and twangy, just as we expect from a Tele. The middle position delivers plenty of bouncy mids which work very well for funky rhythm parts. The controls are nicely responsive, meaning there is plenty of scope for shaping your tone right on the guitar.
