Here for sale we have a Squier FSR Vintage Modified Mustang Bass in Candy Apple Red finish. Made in Indonesia in 2016, this short-scale bass features a bolt-on construction comprising an offset Basswood body, Maple neck and a 19-fret Maple fingerboard. The Nickel hardware includes a 4-Saddle Mustang Strings-Through-Body bridge and a set of vintage-style tuning machines. The pickup installed is a Fender Designed Alnico Split Single-Coil which is wired to a master volume and master tone control.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘C’ profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The Maple fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, with the 9.5" radius & 1.5” nut width facilitating plenty of different techniques including slap bass & chordal playing. In conjunction with the short 30" scale length and Satin finish to the rear of the neck, this bass feels exceptionally easy to manoeuvre. The compact Mustang body design is comfortable in the arms and ensures that long practice sessions or gigs are an absolute breeze.
This bass is equipped with a Fender Designed Alnico Split Single-Coil pickup. This is a versatile platform which provides a surprisingly powerful tone. Deep, warm and rounded low ends are well complemented by the clear, precise mids and glistening trebles, making this bass sound a lot bigger than it looks. There is plenty of grunt on offer, with a fast attack that will keep your playing front and centre in any mix. The simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focussed on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The edges of the headstock display mild indentations, most notably at the treble side rear edge and tip. All aspects of the headstock display slight discoloration, typical of open-pore finishes.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild discoloration is present to the rear of the neck, most notably in the early register. This is common with open-pore finishes. Similar light discoloration is present to the fingerboard across the register. Light indentations to the rear of the neck are most apparent to the treble side rear at the 8th fret. These markings can lightly be felt in the playing position but do not impact the overall playability of the instrument.
Body: Overall very good condition. Lacquer cracks are present on either side of the neck pocket, as is common with bolt-on constructions. These have been tested and do not present any structural concerns. Mild indentations which pierce the finish are present to the front face on the bass side at the upper horn and lower bout. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light, the most apparent of these can be seen to the rear face lower bout & bottom edge.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
