Here for sale we have a Squier 40th Anniversary Jazz Bass in Satin Sea Foam Green finish. Made in Indonesia in 2022, this bass features a bolt-on construction comprising a Nyatoh body, Maple neck, and 20-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 4-Saddle Vintage Style bridge with threaded steel saddles, Vintage style tuning machines, and a set of Fender Designed Alnico single-coil jazz bass pickups. These pickups are wired to independent volume pots and a master tone. The pickguard is a 1-ply Gold Anodized Aluminium affair which compliments the finish beautifully.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘C' profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The Satin finish to the rear is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the 34" scale. The Maple fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 9.5” radius and narrow tall frets allow for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The double cutaway and contoured body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst also making longer durations of playing a comfortable experience.
The Fender designed single coil pickups sound very traditional, clearly having been vintage-inspired and giving you a deep and punchy tone. The dual volume controls allow you to seamlessly blend the pickups to taste without even needing to touch the tone pot, great for taking you from muted, thumping lows on the middle pickup to full on Jazz bass punch and bite at the bridge, with everything in between. A striking & unique instrument which punches well above it's weight.
