Here for sale we have a Spector Icon NS-5 Bolt-On in White Gloss. Made in Indonesia in 2025 this 5 string bass features a bolt-on construction consisting of an Alder body, 3-piece Maple neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Gold Locking Diecast bridge and Gold Sealed Diecast tuning machines. A pair of Aguilar DCB Soapbar pickups custom-voiced for Spector are fitted and wired to controls for Volume, Blend, Treble Cut/Boost and Bass Cut/Boost.
The satin finish Maple neck plays very well, feeling effortless with a reasonably slim ‘C’ profile that gives enough to hold on to, without getting in the way, complemented well by the 1.81" nut width that gives comfortable string spacing without feeling unwieldy. Dual cutaways give unobstructed to the upper frets, while the smoothly contoured body offers a connected playing experience, really letting you feel every note.
The Icon NS-5 has a tight, modern sound, with a rich yet controlled low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with clear and precise highs. The Aguilar OBP-2 preamp system offers a broad and musical sounding EQ solution, in an intuitive package, giving you controls for treble and bass, perfect for sculpting a range of different tones without an overwhelming amount of controls. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the headstock display light signs of past use. There are two very small indentations. One near the top edge and another on the front face, bass side of the nut.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. A previous repair is present to the bass side horn, this is from a previous owners attempt to fill the original strap button hole. Light scratching can be seen to the treble side of the pickups, this is consistent with past use and can only be seen under direct light.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) included.
Hardware: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use. A previous owner has replaced the original strap button, the originals are included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
