Here for sale we have a Sire U5 Short Scale Electric Bass in Mint finish. Made in Indonesia in 2025, this bass consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 20-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include Premium Open-Gear tuners, and a Marcus Miller Vintage-S bridge. The pickups installed are a set of Marcus Super PJ single coil pickups. These are wired to two volume controls, and a master tone control. 
 
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘C’ shape profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 9.5” radius Maple fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, and along with the 1.49" nut width facilitates a range of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. In conjunction with the short 30" scale length and Satin finish to the rear of the neck, this bass feels exceptionally easy to manoeuvre. The compact body design is comfortable in the arms and ensures that long practice sessions or gigs are an absolute breeze. 
 
This bass is equipped with a pair of Marcus Super Single-Coils in a PJ configuration. This is a versatile combination which delivers a deep and powerful tone.  They provide plenty of depth, warmth and a rounded low end that works very well with the clear, precise mids and glistening trebles. There is plenty of grunt on offer, with a fast attack that will keep your playing front and centre. The simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focussed on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.
