Seagull Maritime SWS GT QIT Burnt Umber 2021 Electro-Acoustic
Here for sale we have a Seagull S6 Maritime SWS Q1T in Semi-Gloss Burnt-Umber Finish. Built in Canada, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising Mahogany back and sides topped with a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Aftermarket Gotoh locking tuners have been fitted alongside a zero fret nut and aftermarket bridge. An undersaddle transducer pickup is fitted, and is wired to a Godin Q1T shoulder-mounted preamp with controls for master volume, bass and treble, as well as an on-board tuner.
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, offering a great feel with its thin ‘D’ shaped neck providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The custom polished Semi-Gloss finish to the rear of the neck is akin to satin, making for effortless transitions whilst feeling pleasing under the thumb. The Rosewood fretboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, and with its 16” fretboard radius provides a balanced surface that greatly lends itself to both chord playing and intricate fingerpicking lines.
 
The sound of the Seagull Maritime is very warm and dynamic and thanks to its Solid Sitka top, it has the ability to really project when strummed hard. A warm low end is complemented well by a smooth midrange, whilst the high frequencies are bright and detailed. THe sound of the Seagull Maritime really lends itself to the classic singer/songwriter sound. The undersaddle transducer pickup is paired with the Godin Q1T preamp, and offers comprehensive control of your sound whilst faithfully conveying the acoustic voice of the instrument. A nicely crafted instrument that is comfortable and practical for a wide range of musical situations.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the headstock display light sins of past use. The front face display light scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.

    Neck: Overall excellent condition. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has polished to a gloss appearance, this is common with regular past use. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.

    Body: Overall excellent condition. A light indentation is present to the front face bass side lower bout, this has pierced the finish not exposing the wood. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can only be seen under direct light.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod:  There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

    Hardware: Overall very good condition. A previous owner has installed a set of Gotoh locking tuning machines, a set of Power Pins bridge pins and a Zero Glide nut. The original hardware is not included.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

     

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2mm
