Here for sale we have a Schecter Keith Merrow KM-7 MK-1 7-String electric guitar in Satin Trans Black Burst finish. Made in South Korea in 2014, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Swamp Ash body with a Flamed Maple top, Maple neck and 24 Extra Jumbo fret Ebony fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Black Chrome hardware including a Hipshot Hardtail String Thru Body bridge and Schecter Locking tuning machines. The pickups installed are a Seymour Duncan Nazgul humbucker in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Sentient humbucker, these are wired to a 3-way blade switch and a master volume. The original push/pull function to split the coils has been removed by a previous owner.
The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with the thin neck profile feels incredibly ergonomic, allowing for great thumb placement all across the neck, whilst the Ebony fingerboard and X-Jumbo frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers, whilst enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The 12"-16" compound radius ensures that the playing experience is tailored to the needs of the player in all registers. Extra Jumbo frets increase sustain whilst enhancing the feel of vibrato and string bending techniques, providing an even and balanced feel across the strings, particularly in drop tunings.
Amplified, this guitar has a thick low end grunt and sculpted mid range thanks to its pair of Seymour Duncan pickups. The Seymour Duncan Nazgul bridge pickup delivers a powerful but balanced rock and metal tone with rich upper-midrange harmonic content. The low strings are tight and the high strings scream with harmonics, making it a go-to pickup for hard-hitting crunch rhythms and blazing lead tones. The Seymour Duncan Sentient in the neck position offers all the soloing clarity you could wish for, with sweet sustain and a warm, full sound that still possesses a clear attack providing a hot output delivering smooth, fluid solo tones under gain, while still being capable of bell-like clean tones.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers.
