Here for sale we have a Samick JTR Design Linda LN10 electric guitar in Black finish. Made in Indonesia in 2011, this instrument is clearly a tribute to the Les Paul Junior, and features a bolt-on construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Black Chrome hardware is fitted including a T-O-M style bridge and sealed tuning machines. The pickup installed in the bridge position is a Wilkinson humbucker, which is wired to a master volume control.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a a rather slim 'D' shape which offers a slightly flattened area to the centre rear. This is highly practical for fast and articulate playing as it encourages ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is well suited to both chordal and melodic playing styles. The familiar lines of the singlecut body are as comfortable in the arms as ever whilst improving access to the top frets.
The Wilkinson humbucker installed in this guitar delivers thick and throaty tones, with a warm bass response, driving mids and searing top end which will easily cut through the mix to put your playing front and centre. Nicely bright, the pickup captures all of the attack and aggression of your playing which adds a real sense of urgency to the sound. The pickup can handle plenty of gain, saturating into a thick distortion as you drive the amp. The single master volume control responds well to small changes, offering a surprisingly versatile set of tones from such a simple set up.
