Rickenbacker 620 Jetglo 2000 Electric Guitar
Here for sale we have a Rickenbacker 620 electric guitar in Jetglo finish. Made in the USA in 2000, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a solid Maple body, Maple neck and 21 fret Lacquered Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including Rickenbacker Tunematic Bridge, 'R' tailpiece and Schaller sealed tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Rickenbacker Hi-Gain single-coils which are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, blend control, independent volume and tone controls, as well as dual output jack sockets.
 
The Maple neck plays very well. The profile feels nicely slim in the hand, and with the glossy finish to the rear provides a fluid and expressive playing experience in all registers. This is further accentuated by the Lacquered Rosewood fingerboard which feels supremely smooth and glassy under the fingers. Its 10" radius strikes a fine balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending. The compact body design with bevelled edges sits nicely against the body for a comfortable playing experience in both standing and seated positions. 
 
The pair of Hi-Gain single-coils installed in this guitar provide a bright and jangly tone, just as you would expect from a Rickenbacker. The Rick-O-Sound circuit is a unique feature of Rickenbacker guitars, and means that the guitar can be played in both mono and stereo. This is a useful feature if you want to play the guitar through two amps at once without the need for an ABY pedal. The blend control allows you to finely balance your tone when in the middle position, and with independent volume and tone controls, there is an absolute plethora of tonal options built into this guitar.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edges demonstrate consistent scuffing and scratching, visible upon close inspection. Some light indentation that does not pierce the finish is apparent around the perimeter of the headstock.

    Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates very consistent light indentation which is apparent beneath the thumb. The finish along the binding demonstrates several small chips and spots of delamination, alongside some yellowing and discoloration. This is apparent throughout the register on both the treble and bass sides.

    Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate consistent light scratching and light indentation visible under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most apparent to the rear bottom edge, where some scuffing and indentation can be identified.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with some light indentations in the early register. This improves as you climb the neck. This does not affect playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4" socket) not included.

    Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use.
