Here for sale we have a PRS SE Torero Electric Guitar in Jet White finish. The SE Torero was offered between 2010 & 2015, and was described by Paul Reed Smith as a 'shredder's dream'. Indeed, the instrument features several departures from PRS' usual specifications, including the thru-neck construction, 25.5" scale & hardware choices. Made in Korea in 2013, this guitar features a thru-neck construction comrpising a Mahogany body, Maple neck and 24-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include PRS designed tuners, Nickel hardware, a Floyd Rose Tremolo system, and a set of EMG 81/85 active humbucking pickups. These are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the ‘Wide Thin’ profile providing a comfortable playing experience in all registers without being at all cumbersome. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth and speedy navigation of the 25.5" scale, whilst the double cutaway body design with a slightly different version of the customary PRS sculpted lower horn ensures uninhibited access to the upper frets. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers adding a sense of luxury to the playing experience. The 14" radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending techniques.
Amplified, this guitar has a thick low end grunt and sculpted mid range thanks to its pair of EMG active pickups. The active EMG 81 and 85 provide tones that are thick and full. The 85 in the neck offers boosted mids, big lows and fat highs, and is perfect for rock and metal lead tones. The 81 in the bridge position is EMG's most popular pickup, providing highly detailed intensity that will help your rhythm tones slice through even the densest of mixes. The independent volume controls and master tone control keep things feeling nice and straightforward, making a great ‘Plug in and play’ instrument.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
