Here for sale we have a PRS SE Paul Allender Electric Guitar in Purple Burst finish. Made in Korea in 2011, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body with a Bevelled Maple Top and Flamed Maple Veneer, a Maple neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a PRS Designed Tremolo bridge, PRS Designed tuners, Paul Allender Bat inlays, and a set of EMG 81-TW/89 Active Humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume (push/pull coil split), master tone (push/pull coil split), and a three-way pickup selector.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Wide Thin profile providing a substantial yet articulate playing experience in all registers, well suited to the more technical player. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the dual cutaways and sculpted lower horn open up the full range of the 24 fret fingerboard. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, with the 10" radius offering a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending.
Amplified, this guitar has a thick low end grunt and sculpted mid range thanks to its pair of EMG active pickups. The active EMG 81-TW and 89 provide tones that are thick and full. The 89 in the neck offers boosted mids, big lows and fat highs, and is perfect for rock and metal lead tones. The 81-TW in the bridge position is EMG's most popular pickup, providing highly detailed intensity that will help your rhythm tones slice through even the densest of mixes. This guitar is surprisingly versatile thanks to the push/pull coil splits, allowing for single-coil-esque tones, perfect for clean tones or a throatier distortion.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition, all aspects of the headstock demonstrate moderate scratching and indentation. This is most apparent to the front face, particularly beside the B string tuning post. The corners of the headstock all demonstrate some indentation, most notably to the top bass side corners where indentation chips the finish, revealing the colour beneath.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates consistent light scratching and very light indentation throughout the register, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. It is difficult to discern any markings beneath the thumb.
Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates a notable scratch down the bass side of the body, which is immediately apparent upon inspection. At the bottom of this scratch, some light swirling is apparent, evidence of a previous attempt to remove the scratch which was unsuccessful. Very consistent light scratching is apparent across the entirety of the front face, visible under direct lighting at certain angles. Several notable indentations are apparent around the edges of the body, chipping the finish in places. Some finish touch up has been attempted to cover this. Surrounding both strap studs is finish chipping and scratching. The rear face demonstrates consistent light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with some indentation to the frets on the bass side in the early register, and flattening of the crowns throughout. This does not affect playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
