Here for sale we have a PRS SE McCarty 594 Singlecut Electric Guitar in Vintage Cherry finish. Made in Indonesia in 2022, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Vintage-Style tuners, a PRS Two-Piece bridge, Nickel hardware, and a set of PRS 58/15 "S" humbuckers. These are wired to a 3-way selector, independent volume and independent push/pull tone controls allowing them to be switched to a single coil . 
 
The neck has a ‘Pattern Vintage’ profile which is limited to the ‘594’ line, and is an asymmetrical shape that is a little thicker than the ‘Pattern Regular’ to provide a more substantial feel in the hand. Many of the more modern PRS guitars have a Wide Thin profile so this guitar would suit someone looking for a more ‘Vintage Style’ feeling PRS guitar. The Rosewood fingerboard feels luxurious underhand whilst the 10” radius allows the player to glide effortlessly across the fingerboard and assists with bending and vibrato techniques. The body is generously contoured making it comfortable to play in standing or seated positions. 
 
The 58/15 "S" Humbuckers installed in this guitar deliver a retro tone, with a vintage warmth and clarity provided by each pickup. The clarity and unique tones of these vintage-inspired pickups are both big and nuanced, so that you can easily find your tonal sweet spot. This guitar features a slightly thicker back which helps add a little extra sustain to the overall tone. Push/Pull tone pots grant access to single coil tones, adding more options to the rich tonal pallet already on offer. Independent volume and tone controls are simple to use and make dialling in the perfect tone effortless.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall excellent condition. The front face of the headstock displays light scratching throughout, only visible under direct lighting, as is common on high gloss finishes.

    Neck: Overall very good condition. A small mark is apparent at the 9th fret between the E and A strings, this cannot be felt under the fingers in the playing position. Very light scratching is present to the rear of the neck, this can only be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.

    Body: Overall excellent condition. Very light fingerprint markings can be seen near the selector switch plate, this is a factory defect and can only be seen under direct light. All other aspects of the body display light scratching throughout, only visible under direct lighting, as is common on high gloss finishes.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm socket) included.

    Hardware: Overall excellent condition. Very light tarnishing can be seen to the bridge, this is consistent with light past use. It is difficult to discern any other markings to the hardware. The protective film is still on the neck pickup.

    Structural: No issues or concerns to note.

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

    Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.

    Strings on Guitar - 10-46

    This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
