Here for sale we have a PRS SE Custom in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Made in Korea in 2008, this guitar is called the SE Custom because at the time, no SE Custom 24 was available. When the SE Custom 24 was released in 2009 the SE Custom here was renamed the SE Custom 22. A set neck construction is employed, and comprises a Mahogany body with Flamed Maple veneer top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. A nickel PRS 6-point vintage-style tremolo bridge is fitted, along with a set of aftermarket Chrome locking tuning machines. A pair of PRS designed zebra-coil humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume & master tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the 'SE Wide Fat' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial and robust grip across the register. Whilst certainly on the larger side, the profile remains slim enough for articulate lead playing without feeling at all cumbersome. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, whilst the Crescent Moon inlays add a touch of exclusivity to the feel of the instrument. The 10" radius is traditional for PRS and strikes a perfect balance between rhythm playing hand comfort and practicality for string bending and lead techniques.
The pair of PRS designed zebra-coil humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and smooth tones, well suited to a wide range of genres and playing styles. There is plenty of warmth and roundness in the neck position, perfect for solo tones or shimmering clean sounds. The bridge position is brighter and slightly hotter, meaning that you can easily cut through the mix with biting rhythm tones, or achieve a twangy clean sounds for country and blues licks. The simple control layout offers comprehensive control of your sound without being intrusive to the playing experience.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The bass side tip of the headstock demonstrates a small chip to the front corner which does not reveal the wood beneath. Light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.
Neck: Overall very good condition. A mild indentation to the centre rear of the neck is present behind the 7th fret. This does not pierce the finish but is lightly felt under the thumb in the playing position. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall excellent condition. Light scratching to the front face is apparent between the pickups and at the treble side waist consistent with playwear. Very light scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light and close scrutiny, as is common with high gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm socket) not included.
Hardware: Excellent condition. The tuning machines have been replaced with a set of Chrome locking tuners. No original parts included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
