Here for sale we have a PRS SE Custom 24 Floyd in Charcoal Cherry Burst. Made in Indonesia in 2024 this guitar features a set-neck construction consisting of a Mahogany body with Flamed Maple top, Maple neck and 24 fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include PRS enclosed tuning machines and a Floyd Rose 1000 Tremolo with locking nut. A pair of PRS 85/15 “S” pickups are wired to a master volume control, 3-way pickup selector and tone control with push/pull pot for coil splitting.
The Maple neck plays well, with the 'Wide Thin' profile feeling slender in the hand, whilst the Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale. The dual cutaway body design with customary sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 14" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface in all registers along with the jumbo fret wire feeling rock solid under the fingers. The Floyd Rose bridge is perfect for classic stunt guitar antics, all whilst staying in tune and feeling really robust.
The pair of PRS SE 85/15 humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and smooth tones, well suited to a wide range of genres and playing styles. There is plenty of warmth and roundness in the neck position, perfect for solo tones or shimmering clean sounds. The bridge position is brighter and slightly hotter, meaning that you can easily cut through the mix with biting rhythm tones, or achieve a twangy clean sounds for country and blue licks. The simple control layout offers comprehensive control of your sound without being intrusive to the playing experience, whilst the push/pull coil split feature adds extra versatility for the player to explore.
