PRS SE Bernie Marsden Vintage Sunburst 2015 Electric Guitar
Here for sale we have a PRS SE Bernie Marsden Electric Guitar from 2015 in Vintage Sunburst finish. Made in Korea, this tribute to the Whitesnake guitarists consists of a Mahogany body, a Maple top with Flame Maple Veneer, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a PRS Designed Stoptail bridge, Vintage Grommet-style Tuners, and two SE 245 Humbucker Pickups that are wired two independent volumes , a master tone and a three-way pickup selector.
 
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the gloss finish to the rear allowing for fluid movement and ergonomic thumb placement up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and with its 12" radius offering a nice balance between vintage feel and practicality for string bending. The frets provide a rock-solid playing experience whilst also enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The single cutaway body design provides unobstructed access to the higher frets.
 
The pair of SE 245 humbucker pickups sound thick and raw, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp nicely. The neck pickup is full sounding and warm, whilst the midrange is perfectly balanced and easily cuts through any mix. The bridge has a hotter output, it produces a biting tone which easily cuts through the mix for those "Here I Go Again" tones and has a great harmonic register. This guitar offers a wide selection of tones for the player to explore, with the ease of the control layout making adjusting the tone a breeze.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes. Chipping to the finish is apparent surrounding the G string winding post, these reveal the wood beneath.

    Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching throughout, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes.

    Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern.

    Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes. Any notable markings are difficult to discern.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm socket) is included.

    Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Mild tarnishing is apparent to the bridge, with wear to the posts. A faint Bernie Marsden signature is apparent in the rear control cavity cover.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

    Due to the stock bridge used from factory, the open E string can sound slightly muted when picked particularly hard.
