Here for sale we have a PRS Santana lII Carlos Santana signature electric guitar in Scarlet Red finish. Crafted in the USA in 2002, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with a Carved Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck and 24 fret East Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured on this guitar consists of a PRS Tremolo Bridge and a set of PRS Low Mass Locking tuning machines. The pickups fitted are a pair of PRS Santana humbuckers, which are wired to a 3-way selector, master volume and master tone control.
 
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘Santana Wide Fat’ neck profile filling the hand whilst offering comfortable thumb positioning. The Gloss finish to the rear provides a smooth and articulate playing experience up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard is supremely pleasant to the touch and further enhances the luxurious playing experience that this guitar offers. The 10" radius and Jumbo frets provide a smooth and consistent playing surface right the way up to the 24th fret, whilst assisting with vibrato and string bending techniques. The sculpted body horns ensure that access to the upper frets is uninhibited, whilst the body contours sit comfortably against the body in both sitting and standing playing positions.
 
The pair of PRS Santana pickups are articulate and provide rich harmonic overtones. With a powerful bridge pickup and a touch of brightness in the neck, these pickups are the perfect tool to achieve clarity and definition with a punch. The Santana humbucker in the bridge provides a fat and punchy tonality, making power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones with broad tonal dynamics. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone making harmonics sing with a bell like tonality. The middle position produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The Santana humbucker in the neck provides rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting and that classic Santana sweet sustain.
