Here for sale we have a PRS McCarty Standard Electric Guitar in Whale Blue finish. Made in the USA in 2001, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body with a Carved Flame Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include PRS Vintage-Style tuners with 'Tulip' keys, a wraparound Stoptail bridge, Abalone dot inlays, and a set of PRS McCarty Humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone (push/pull coil split), and a three-way pickup selector.
The ‘Wide Fat’ profile neck is comfortable to play on, filling the hand well. The slick gloss finish to the rear allows for fluid movement, and provides easy access to the whole fretboard. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and with it's 10" radius offers a nice balance between vintage feel and practicality for string bending. Jumbo frets provide a rock-solid playing experience whilst also enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The double cutaway body design with generous contours leave plenty of room for even the largest of hands right into the upper register.
The PRS McCarty Humbucking pickups are clear and articulate with a flexible yet cutting sound. Reminiscent of the Gibson PAF humbucking pickups, they are nice and fat sounding, with plenty of scope for rich and shimmering clean sounds through to heavy rock or even metal tones. The volume and tone controls are very interactive and usable, opening up a wide palette of sounds that make this guitar hugely versatile, perfect for the working musician who needs an instrument that sounds at home wherever the gig takes them.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates consistent light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates several small indentations, piercing the finish slightly. These can be identified behind the fifth and twelfth frets. The fingerboard edge demonstrates a chip to the finish at the treble side of the twelfth fret. Consistent light scratching throughout the rear which is visible only under direct lighting at certain angles and is difficult to discern beneath the thumb.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a chip to the finish at the treble side waist. A repaired finish chip is apparent to the bass side waist. The bottom edges demonstrate some indentation, the most notable on the treble side lower bout front edge. The rear face demonstrates some light buckle rash, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with some indentation in the early register and flattening of the crowns throughout. This does not affect playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear, most notably tarnishing of all body hardware.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
