Here for sale we have a PRS McCarty Korina Electric Guitar in Black Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2008, this set-neck guitar consists of a Korina body, a Korina neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. The serial number indicates that this guitar was built in 2008, but the hang tag suggests that it was finished and ready for sale in early 2009. Other appointments include PRS Vintage-Style tuners, a Wraparound bridge, and a pair of PRS McCarty humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone (push/pull coil split), and a three-way pickup selector.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the ‘Wide Fat’ profile filling the hand nicely whilst remaining slim enough for fast, articulate playing. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the double cutaway body design and customary PRS sculpted lower horn enhance access to the upper frets. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional PRS 10" radius provides a comfortable balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending.
The pair of PRS McCarty humbucker pickups sound thick and raw, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp nicely. The neck pickup is full sounding and warm, whilst the midrange is perfectly balanced and easily cuts through any mix. The bridge has a hotter output, it produces a biting tone which easily cuts through the mix for those rock rhythm sounds and has a great harmonic register. The independent volume and tone controls offer comprehensive control of your sound, feeling very responsive to small changes. This guitar offers a wide selection of tones for the player to explore, with the added coil split feature on the tone controls to access single-coil tones, the ease of the control layout makes finding your perfect tone a breeze.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition, all aspects of the headstock demonstrates light scratching visible only at certain angles under direct lighting. This is most consistent to the front face.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates some light delamination of the top clear coat behind the 9th fret. A small indentation can be identified to the bass side of the rear beside the 13th fret.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates chipping to the edges which reveals the wood beneath. This is most apparent to the treble side lower bout, bottom edge and the bass side horn. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most apparent to the rear face consistent with buckle rash that does not pierce the finish.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear, most notably light tarnishing of the pickup covers and tuning posts.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
