Here for sale we have a PRS CE24 Electric Guitar in Scarlet Red finish. Made in the USA in 1990, this guitar consists of an Alder body with a Flamed Maple top, a Maple neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted, including a PRS Patented 6-point vintage-style Tremolo and PRS designed Locking Tuners. A pair of PRS humbucking pickups are installed, with an HFS in the bridge and a Vintage Bass in the neck. These are wired to a master volume, master tone (push/pull coil-split), and a three-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with the 'Wide Thin' profile filling the hand nicely without being at all cumbersome. Certainly, the profile is thick enough to sustain a firm grip when chord playing whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate melodic lines. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 10" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The smooth gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the double cutaway design with signature PRS chamfered horn ensures unobstructed access to the upper register for soloing.
Amplified, the pair of PRS humbucking pickups deliver plenty of grunt and character, as well as a heap of versatility thanks to the push/pull coil-split. The HFS in the bridge is nice and hot, with a powerful output that can easily drive your amp into a saturated distortion for rock rhythm parts and riffs. Indeed, 'HFS' stands for Hot, Fat & Screams! The Vintage humbucker in the neck is of course rounder, producing a smooth and clear tone for solos and lead lines, as well as a crystalline, glassy clean tone. A beautiful instrument which has developed its own unique character over the years.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates some finish cracking in line with the wings of the headstock. This is not indicative of a structural issue and is purely cosmetic. The edges of the headstock demonstrate light to moderate indentation, most notably to the bass side top corner where a chip to the finish reveals the wood beneath. Light indentation can also be identified to the front face, piercing the finish slightly.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates wear through the finish revealing the wood beneath on the treble side middle register toward the fingerboard edge. The center of the profile demonstrates some indentation and scratching in the early register which is somewhat difficult to discern beneath the thumb.
Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate consistent light scratching and indentation, most notably to the center of the rear face and between the treble side waist and pickups. The bottom rear edge demonstrates consistent indentation, piercing the finish slightly in places.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate indentations in the early register and some flattening of the crowns throughout. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
