Here for sale we have a PJD Custom Shop St John Elite Left-Handed Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Highland Purple Burst finish. Made in the United Kingdom in 2022, this guitar consists of a Semi-Hollow Swamp Ash body with a Flame Maple top, a Quartersawn Roasted Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Gotoh Hardtail GTC101 bridge, Gotoh Vintage-Style tuners, and Nickel hardware. The pickups installed in this guitar are a Cream T P90 in the neck, and a Cream T Eliminator Humbucker in the bridge. These pickups are wired to a master volume, a master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.

The Quartersawn Roasted Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Standard ‘C’ neck profile feels incredibly ergonomic, allowing for great thumb placement all across the neck, whilst the Nitrocellulose finish provides effortless transitions. The Rosewood fingerboard and frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers, whilst enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques at speed. The 10”-12" Compound Radius provides an even and balanced feel across the strings, aiding in even tension across the string and up and down register. The offset body design provides the player with unobstructed access to the higher frets, whilst the light weight of the semi-hollow body aids with comfort in both standing and seating positions.

Amplified, the St John Elite delivers a wide range of sonic options, perfect for the modern contemporary player. The P-90 in the neck is warm and round- great for lead lines and soloing. With more aggressive amp settings however, there is plenty of growl & grunt from this pickup. It matches the brightness & snappy attack of the bridge humbucker nicely, and indeed in the middle position there is a nicely balanced, thick tone which works well with both clean and overdriven sounds. The semi-hollow construction of the instrument ensures that there is plenty of dynamic range to play with, making the guitar feel nicely responsive in the hands. A great example of PJD at their best.
