Here for sale we have a left handed Peerless Monarch Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Antique Sunburst finish. Made in Korea in 2008, this guitar features an all-solid set neck construction comprising a Spruce top, Maple back and sides, Maple neck and 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge & tailpiece. Other appointments include a set of Grover Imperial tuners, handsome MoP & Abalone block inlays, an adjustable bridge & a wooden pickguard. A Floating Mini Humbucker pickup is installed, and is wired to a pickguard-mounted master volume control.
The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile resembling a ‘D’ filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast, articulate melodic lines. The Gloss finish to the rear is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 24.6" scale. The Rosewood fingerboard provides a tactile and durable playing surface across the register, and with its 15.75" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles. The smooth lines of the body feel great in the arms, ensuring comfort in both standing and seated positions.
Unplugged the Monarch projects superbly, with a smooth low end, a clear and focused midrange, along with tight, articulate highs. The floating humbucker compliments the acoustic tone beautifully, adding plenty of depth and a fullness in the low end. This guitar really shines at moderate levels, where you can appreciate the fullness of the amplified tone without losing out on the clarity and articulation found in the acoustic tone. Overall a lovely workhorse archtop, ideal for someone looking for an excellent jazz instrument without breaking the bank!

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates consistent light to mild scratching, causing a light hazing of the finish. The rear top corners of the headstock both demonstrate small chips, revealing the wood beneath.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard demonstrates light playwear in the early to mid register, difficult to discern from the natural grain. The binding shows light discoloration and very light cracking, more notably to the bass side. The bending remains secure & stable.
Body: Overall excellent condition. Some very light indentation is apparent to the front face toward the bottom edge, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Light to mild scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under close scrutiny. This is most notable at the bass side of the upper bout to both the front & rear faces, and at the treble side upper bout of the front face consistent with playwear.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear, most notably wear and fading of the gold plating to the pickup cover & tuning machines. The pickguard shows mild wear consistent with playwear.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.25mm - Bass 1.75mm
