Peerless Hardtail Vintage Sunburst 2008 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar
Here for sale we have a Peerless Hardtail in Vintage Sunburst finish. Made in Korea in 2008, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including a StopBar tailpiece and Guyker locking tuning machines. A pair of humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls. 
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile feeling nicely slender and articulate in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers, with a flattened area to the centre which promotes ergonomic thumb positioning. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 12" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The familiar lines of the body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, ensuring that long practice sessions and gigs are fatigue free. 
 
Amplified, the pair of humbuckers work in conjunction with the semi-hollow construction to deliver the full and thick sounds. The guitar resonates beautifully, filling out the sound with a deep and rich character. The neck pickup is warm and round, and can handle plenty of gain meaning you can achieve anything from jazzy lines through to soaring rock and blues solo tones. The bridge pickup is hotter, driving the front end of an amp with ease and producing the bright, biting tones that cut right through the mix to put your playing front and centre. The traditional dual humbucker control layout feels very responsive, allowing you to explore a wide tonal palette right on the instrument.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition. Very slight delamination is present to the top of the front face, this displays as blurring over the Peerless logo. All aspects of the headstock display light scratching which can only be seen under direct light.

    Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck display very light scratching across the register, these can only be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position. Light pitting can be seen to the 1st fret beneath the treble strings, this is common with regular past use and can not be felt under the fingers in the playing position.

    Body: Overall very good condition. Light cracking can be seen to the treble side cutaway between the binding body, this is common with binding expanding and contracting due to changes in temperature, this has been stress tested and poses no structural concerns. All aspects of the body displays light scratching which can only be seen under direct light as is common with high gloss finishes.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) included.

    Hardware: Overall very good condition. The pickup covers display mild tarnishing and oxidation, this is common with regular past use in a high contact area. The original tuning machines have been replaced with a set of Guyker locking tuners, the originals are not included.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

     

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
