Here for sale we have an Overwater Inspiration 5-String Electric Bass in Natural Satin finish. Established in 1979, The Overwater Guitar Company was started by Chris May and at the start it was an even split between making guitars and basses, however it then became apparent to Chris that there was a gap in the market for high quality, innovative bass guitars and thus the focus shifted. Overwater is now a world-renowned Bass brand and have served many professional bass players over the years.
Made in Cumbria, UK in 2016, this bass features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body with Flame Maple top or 'Facings', a Maple neck, and a 24-fret Maple fingerboard. Black hardware is fitted including sealed tuning machines & a top-loading 5-saddle Overwater bridge. Chrome hardware, and a set of Overwater Soapbar pickups. These are wired to an Active Overwater preamp with master volume, pickup blend, and a 3-band EQ.
The Maple neck plays very well, with its profile somewhat resembling a 'D' shape, and feeling smooth and responsive in the hand. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck feels pleasing under the thumb and enhances transitions up and down the neck, whilst the double cut design of the body makes for great access to the higher register. The Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, with easy access and smooth playability across the register.
The Overwater Soapbar pickups have a well rounded tone, with a solid and commanding low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with clear and cutting highs. The active controls offer a plethora of tonal options, allowing you to take full control of your sound with a 3-band active EQ and a pickup blend knob, great for sculpting out the perfect tone for any playing situation. Overall a really solid workhorse bass with a lovely modern feel!

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. A small indentation can be identified to the rear face towards to the top bass side corner. This discolors the finish slightly.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard demonstrates several indentations between the 4th and 5th frets where the strings have made contact, leaving roundwound markings in the finish. The rear of the neck demonstrates infrequent light indentations throughout the register, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles and difficult to discern beneath the thumb.
Body: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates some light indentations to the bass side lower bout, slightly piercing the finish. The sides and edges demonstrate very light indentation, most concentrated around the jack socket. The rear face demonstrates a moderate indentation beside the control cavity cover, piercing the finish.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
