Here for sale we have an Ovation Celebrity Series CS-24-4-G acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in China in 2022, this instrument features a set-neck construction comprising a Solid Spruce top, Lyrachord bowl back & sides, Nato neck and 20 fret Ovangkol fingerboard with matching bridge. A pearloid rosette & fingerboard inlays are featured, along with a set of Ovation Chrome sealed tuning machines. Although an undersaddle piezo pickup & preamp are fitted, they no longer function & this guitar is being sold as an acoustic rather than an electro-acoustic.
The Nato neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a Soft 'V' shape. This is a highly ergonomic shape which encourages proper thumb positioning in all registers. Well suited to both chordal and melodic playing, the fingerboard features a comfortable 10" radius which facilitates string bending and lead techniques. The smooth bowl shape at the rear of the body is comfortable in the arms, whilst the cutaway enhances access to the upper frets.
The tone of the Ovation Celebrity Series CS-24-4-G is bright and clear thanks to the Lyrachord Bowl & Solid Spruce combination. The bowl shape to the rear assists with projection of the sound, whilst the Spruce top resonates beautifully and adds a snap and sparkle to the sound. There is plenty of dynamic range on offer which feels nicely responsive to the player's touch. A nicely appointed instrument for those interested in trying the Ovation sound.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The top edges of both the faceplate and horn demonstrate consistent light to moderate indentation, piercing the finish. A further indentation is present at the bass side front edge near the 6th E tuner.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates some light scratching difficult to discern beneath the thumb. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall good condition. A moderate chip is present at the treble side front edge of the lower bout, exposing the wood. Further light indentation can be identified across the lower bout and around to the bass side shoulder. Light scratching is apparent to the treble side of the soundhole, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The rear shows moderate scuffing and scratching, concentrated mostly at the treble side lower bout. Wear of the lyrachord back is present around the strap buttons, consistent with contact with a strap.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with notable indentation in the early register which can be felt beneath the string but does not affect the sustain of notes. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2.5mm
