Here for sale we have a Osthoff 007-12 acoustic guitar in High Gloss finish. Osthoff guitars are all built start to finish by John Osthoff out of his workshop in Becket, Massachusetts USA. While John selects only the finest materials for his high quality instruments, his time focusing on developing and refining tone and craftsmanship is what makes his guitars special.
The Osthoff 007-12 is a 12 fret auditorium sized body featuring an all-solid construction consisting of Indian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound with Koa, whilst the top is adorned with a Koa and Rosewood rosette. A Koa backstop is featured on the rear. The tuning machines are gold Gotoh 510 closed gear tuning machines.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a Soft ‘V’ profile that fills the hand, feeling thick enough to inspire confidence and feel dependable without being cumbersome. The Ebony fingerboard feels smooth to the touch, and with the 12" radius provides a playing surface capable of a wide variety of playing styles, whilst fretting is a breezy and sumptuous affair in any register. The 12-fret body design feels great in both seated and standing positions, making this guitar great for long durations of playing.
The voice of this guitar is warm and detailed, with the Indian Rosewood back and sides producing a punchy and responsive midrange. The Sitka Spruce top provides a balanced, seasoned tone with plenty of low end power and warm detail. The understated high end of this guitar remains detailed but subtle, adding unique character to this instrument. Overall an excellent guitar, great for all sorts of genres but particularly excelling in singer-songwriter rhythm styles.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
