Here for sale we have a Michael Kelly Hybrid Special Hybrid Electric Guitar in Spalted Maple finish. Made in Korea, this guitar consists of a Chambered Mahogany body with a Spalted Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover tuners, a Pau Ferro MK Acoustic bridge, Abalone block inlays, two Rockfield SWC Humbuckers, and a Fishman Powerbridge Under-Saddle Piezo pickup. These pickups are wired to a Humbucker Volume, Piezo Volume, Humbucker Tone, 3-way Pickup Selector, and a 3-way Acoustic/Electric Hybrid Selector.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that resembles a Modern 'C' profile offering a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The Pau Ferro fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and with its 12" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles. The rounded lines of the LP-style body design are as comfortable in the arms as ever, whilst the single cutaway provides unobstructed access to the upper register.

The pair of Rockfield SWC humbucking pickups sound thick and raw, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp nicely. The Rockfield SWC in the neck is full sounding and warm, whilst the midrange is perfectly balanced and easily cuts through any mix. The Rockfield SWC in the bridge produces a biting tone which easily cuts through the mix for those rock rhythm sounds and has a great harmonic register for defining solos. The set of Rockfield SWC humbuckers, along with a piezo bridge, offering the best of both worlds when it comes to acoustic/electric semi-hollow tone, allowing you to either isolate the humbuckers, mix both pickup sets, or even enjoy both at the same time thanks to the 3-way Acoustic/Electric Hybrid selector switch.
